Tom is an internationally well-known hypnotherapist, whose magic reportedly can recall one’s memory of a previous life whether being a dog or a pig and make people achieve their orgasm simply through shaking hands.

One day in 2016, Tom came to Shangyuan Art Museum in Beijing from America, to hypnotise the poet Qi Guo and his rabbit, thus allowing him to compose poems subconsciously.

With a deluge of artists taking part, and a few photographers recording the event, the prism of humanity configured a spectacular aura around it, witnessing a repetition of taking on and off the mask of humankind, while under the collective hypnosis, thirty sheep, two geese, three chickens were driven into the space. 

In this work, every participant and animal present in their true nature, none of them admit that they were pretending.
